Mexican Martini
We’re big fans of olives
THE SPIRIT BEHIND IT
Austin gets credit for this one. Appearing on menus in the 1980s, the Mexican Martini is the city’s unofficial cocktail of choice. According to local favorite, The Cedar Door, the story goes a bartender visiting Mexico saw how Margaritas were served in Martini glasses. Back in Austin, olives were added as a garnish. Voilà, a new cocktail was born.
