Agave Matchmaker’s Agavos Awards Competition

The Agavos Awards honor excellence in tequila. Launched in 2025 by the team behind Agave Matchmaker, the competition brings transparency to a dedicated awards program for agave-based spirits. Each entry is blind-tasted by experts with a deep understanding and appreciation of agave spirits.

San Francisco World Spirits Competition

First held in 2000, the San Francisco World Spirits Competition is the largest spirits competition in North America. Judges blind-taste over 5,000 entries each year, each rigorously evaluated and scored by industry professionals.

2026

Agave Matchmaker’s Agavos Awards Competition

Returning in 2026, the Agavos Awards again recognized expressions that stand out for flavor, quality, and craftsmanship — including a standout result for our limited Socorro Tequila Blanco 110 Singular Edición.

San Francisco World Spirits Competition

Socorro returned to the SFWSC in 2026 with another sweep of medals across the core range.

A Double Gold medal is awarded only to entries that unanimously receive the highest scores from all panel members.
