Why bottle it at 110 proof?
Before its official release, this batch earned a Double Gold Medal at the 2026 Agavos Awards.
Most Blancos are proofed down with water before they are bottled. For this release, Socorro selected only the heart of a small distillation run and bottled it at still strength: 110 proof, the highest proof legally permitted for tequila.
The higher proof preserves more of the Blanco’s natural aroma, texture, and character. Very light, non-chill filtration keeps its body intact without changing the essential makeup of the tequila.
Singular Edición begins with single-estate Blue Weber agave grown in the Highlands of Jalisco and harvested at peak maturity. The recipe remains the same as every bottle of Socorro: agave, water, and yeast. That’s it.
“This is the closest you can get to tasting our Blanco directly from the still. It’s a 100% heart, and the entire release comes from one singular corazón of the distillation, with no heads or tails blended back in.”
